February 12th, 2015 Newsletter

There will be no newsletter February 19th as we are away.  Send me good photos so I can do one for the 26th!  Email to me at

If you want to do some armchair traveling, I will be blogging our trip to New York City at
Do any other Rotarians blog?

February is World Understanding Month
February program chair is Rhonda Hillstead
March program chair is Laraine Tremblay

Next week's program is the celebration of Stafford's and Ray Yurkowski's forty years with Rotary.  You don't want to miss it!  It's in the Tatagwa Conference Room (come through main doors) and will be February 19th at noon.  Let Duane know you'r coming if he doesn't already know.

Kaedon delivered this beautiful poster to Jill's to show how happy he is to be on the Rotary Sharks hockey team.  Jill will have this at Thursday's meeting.
Deana is official ... she has her badge!
Nancy is official too!
Did you read the announcement about Alvena in this week's Review.  She can now sell farm real estate as well as her other real estate ventures.  Congratulations, Alvena!
Here Emilie is selling to Ray.  She is making wheat bags and will have them for sale to fund her Western trip.  Sign up to get yours.
She's also helping with the Comp orange/apple/cookie dough sale.

Those of us who have pens like this, usually keep them well protected as they are the best pens anywhere.  This one was left on a table at last week's meeting.  I think I know who it belongs to but I can't be sure so maybe I better keep it for myself!
A questionable Rotarian had his pocket full of queen of diamonds so that when his name was drawn for the 50/50, he could collect the $425.50.  Luckily Jill and Bob were skeptical and refused the payout.  Get your tickets each week as the odds get better and better.
Meals on Wheels:
February 18th - Don, February 25th - Sara, March 4th - Brenda

Emilie's Drivers:
Feburary 19th - Gwen, February 26th - Alvena, March 5th - Anna

February 13th - Gary, February 13th - Myrt, February 22nd - Nancy

February 12th - Chakra & Kajal, February 25th - Rakesh & Nutan

How well do you know your fellow Rotarians?

Last week's question:  Which Rotarin turned the big 6-0?  Garnet

This week's question?
25 years ago, which Rotarian took exchange student Minna from Finland on a ski trip?
