October 23rd, 2014 Newsletter

October is Vocational Service Month

We sing at the Communithon this Saturday at 7 a.m. - our usual spot.  Another tradition of ours is not to practise ahead of time.  Don't worry; we'll sound fine!  April will be playing and Stafford will be leading us.  Please come out to swell our numbers whether you are a good singer or not.  Be at the Cugnet Centre around 6:30 and wear your Rotary shirt if you have one.  Don't worry if you don't have one.  After our singing, we'll head to the Credit Union Pancake Breakfast (proceeds to the Communithon) for some good visiting.
Aren't these three girls pretty?
Doug always seems to find a twin.
Looking good, Kim.
Our pre-meeting chatter was as noisy as noisy can be.
Michele goes over some Fudge and Nut Tray information with Garnet.  Thanks, Garnet, for all the years you headed this up, and, thanks, Michele, for taking over.
Nancy is joining Rotary!  Hurray!
Guest speaker last week was Lauren Singh whom Dale referred to as "Myles' friend."
Thanks, Anna and Dale, for helping Bob at regional soccer.  He apologizes for overworking you!

Last week's question:  Which of our members is instrumental in the upcoming opening of an India Curry House in Weyburn?  Chakra is.  It will open in November.

This week's question:  Which of our members did a talk about Tommy Douglas recently?
